WADEBRIDGE  OSTEOPATHS

CORNWALL

What brings patients to osteopaths for  treatment?

A wide variety of people, with a wide variety of ailments that include:-

Low back pain, with or without sciatica

Neck pain

Tension headaches

Upper limb disorders, such as shoulder pain

Lower limb problems including hip, knee and foot pain

Sports injuries

           ADDITIONALLY,

Since Osteopathy is essentially a gentle therapy, it is ideally suited for treating women during and after pregnancy.

Babies and toddlers can be treated with Cranial Osteopathy (call in or tel: 01208 812048 for further information).

Because a child’s posture is important, school-age children may benefit from a check-up.

Osteopaths can treat some of the changes associated with osteoarthritis, to improve joint mobility and increase tissue circulation. Osteopaths can therefore assist in the management of many degenerative conditions, such as osteoarthritis in the hips or knees, particularly in the earlier stages.

Who are Wadebridge Osteopaths?

Kate Hands has made a post-graduate study of Cranial Osteopathy, working particularly with babies and children.   As well as this, she finds that her Cranial approach is effective with adults who need very gentle treatment.

David Cormack joined the practice in 2000, after completing the four year full-time training in Osteopathy and Naturopathy; he was a mature student, having had a career in the Royal Navy. He has brought knowledge and expertise with him.

Ann Retallick was co-founder of Wadebridge Osteopaths in 1978. She has gained a lot of experience in applying Osteopathy and Cranial Osteopathy to a range of conditions, and also she practices as a trained reflexologist.

Malcolm Retallick, in co-founding the practice 34 years ago, was returning to the town where his grandfather had been ‘bonesetting’. Malcolm retains his interest in the traditional principles of osteopathy, and accepts change.

Lloyd Pope joined the practice after having already practiced in the area for several years;  he was warmly welcomed by the other practitioners. He offers Saturday morning appointments as well as Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

The receptionists are essential in keeping the practice going; they are  Val Miller,  Gloria McCarron,  Margaret Kingdon,  Suzanne McGinness and  Colette Hill.
